Unofficial First Day of Residency

Getting an extra course in with the staff of Los Gatos Orthopedic Sports Therapy, Inc and the strength & conditioning team of the San Jose Sharks.

Researched and developed by French osteopath Dr. Guy VOYER, the ELDOA (Etirements Longitudinaux avec Decoaptition Osteo-Articulaire) method utilizes the myofascial links and specific biomechanical postures to put tension around a primary lesion making it the center of “separating forces.”

The myofascial tension solicits a postural normalization in a specific joint resulting in numerous benefits including spinal muscle reinforcement, proprioception, and musculoskeletal mobility.

The goal of the course is to cover the History of E.L.D.O.A., physiology, mechanics, research, success with Back pain, disk herniation, scoliosis, and concussions with regards to sport.

The Doctor will also be able to implement a practical application of the following E.L.D.O.A. exercises and their progressions. (Global ELDOA T6/T7, T8/T9, C5/C6, C4/C5, L4/L5, L5/S1,)

I will be using this platform to document this year’s sports medicine residency in physical therapy, so be on the lookout for lots of good stuff on the way!
